These are Gucci’s Trends and outfits for Spring/Summer 2010

Chunky knits were a big hit in mens fashion last season and it looks as though they are going to be just as popular this autumn and winter. Recently looking around some of the online and high street shops iv’e noticed the chunky knits beginning to re-appear, with new twists and varied styles. Knit wear will always be a part of mens fashion, giving outfits layers and stepping in as alternatives to jackets, adaptable between both a formal and casual look.

Chunky Knits 09/10

The chunky knits I have seen around the shops so far seem to be incorporating a lot more patterns than we seen last year, the sort of ‘old man’ style patterns you see on your granddad’s knitwear and another popular pattern on this seasons men’s knitwear is the canadian style christmas knit pattern, this adds a kind of retro feel to the cardigans and jumpers and goes well with all the other retro trends currently bouncing around in men’s fashion. It’s seems as though the ‘old man’ style is expanding, as we have seen the rise of tasseled loafers, chord jeans and now it’s nearing winter you can top it off with a chunky knit, I wonder what other fashion tips and inspiration we can get out of our elders. If u want to try and avoid the ‘old man ‘ type of look you can always pull off a chunky knit with a nice pair of jeans, straight, slim or skinny with canvas trainers or some boots.

At first glance, the graphic tee seems almost self-explanatory—throw it on over some jeans, slip on your trusted Converse and your off on your way, alot of celebritys  demonstrate this laid back high end of summer look.

Even though a graphic tee is typically associated with easygoing outfits, with a little creativity you can turn the outfit into a fashion-forward look. But All Saints have took it to another level, and designed these great and highly detailed t-shirts that will make you stand out in such a simple get-up outfit. what i love most about them is that you can chuck on a pair of short-shorts or jeans, a fresh pair of Converse or Boat shoes, a pair of summery shades and your outfit is sorted. if the weather changes you can throw on a summer knit and it will still go great together. so at no more than £35 for these t-shirts they are definitely a must for your wardrobe at this time of the year.

The men’s short has shrunk!
The hemline has been raised and so has the bravery levels, the look and style designers are aiming for seems to be preppy which we like.  they both look good dressed up and down, they look great with a pairof boat shoes which we featured in a recent post and possibly a fitted v-neck or a casual shirt.It seems to be following the nautical trend that has been popular this summer and these shorts give you that preppy/sailor image.

Kanye West pulls off the short well

Another version of the short short is the old school nylon 70′s runners, i think these are great and purchased a few pairs myself this summer, they go well for around the pool on holiday or even a summer bbq, a great look is with a pair of plimsolls and a graphic printed t-shirt.
