This was quite a popular trend last winter, the likes of D&G, Vivienne Westwood and Gucci didn’t hold back with this bold style and spiced up, the often bland area of knitwear, with these Nordic patterns, consisting of stars, diamond shapes, snowflakes, reindeers etc. It was an interesting trend that became popular with the masses as the high street labels followed with ranges of Nordic Inspired clothing and Fair Isle Knitwear. The bold patterned style spread across a wide range of clothing, including cardigans, jumpers, sweaters, jackets, gilets, hats, gloves, socks and scarves.
This Autumn / Winter
One particular brand still pushing the Nordic pattern trend quite strongly this autumn is the Danish street wear label Humor, which isn’t much of a surprise from the electronic music inspired fashion brand, as they are recognised for their bold clothing. There are some great pieces in their Fall / Winter 11/12 range, I’ve picked out a few below.
